Dear PARISHIONERS & friends of FAITH:

Love - filled Greetings!

In so many ways, we see love in action during the Christmas season. We witness the love that Mary and Joseph had for their newborn child. We share our love for our family and friends through gift giving and spending time with our loved ones. And we celebrate anew each year the love we have for our Lord and Savior, and the love that Jesus has for us. What a special time of year.

Thus, Christmas is not about the materialism and commercialism that we see all around us this time of the year. The essence of Christmas is in sharing. The prophet Isaiah says: “For a child is born to us, a son is given us” (Is 9:5). Christmas is all about God sharing His Son with us to be our Savior. This is how we Christians should celebrate the birthday of Jesus: by our sharing with God and our sharing with all our brothers and sisters. The real meaning of Christmas lies in the sharing of our lives!

We can only experience the real meaning of Christmas if there’s love in our hearts. We can truly share only if love is behind our sharing. For that is how God has shown us his love. He has loved us by giving us his Son. Jesus loved us by giving up his life, so that we may have life and have it more abundantly (cf. Jn. 10:10). This is the real meaning of Christmas - love and sharing! This is the kind of Christmas that we wish to celebrate right here in our parish!

May we take this opportunity to invite you to join us in celebrating the Eucharist on these days as one of the SPECIAL offerers.  We encourage those who can afford to give and allow the whole community to pray for your intentions. Please join in the offertory procession and give back to God in thanksgiving as part of the fruits of your labor.  Any amount would surely be of  great help for the needs of the parish, such as for the gift giving , our chancery yearly obligation, quotas and the like.

Finally, let me take this occasion to thank you for the generous support that you have been extending to us through the years and I wish to express my deep sentiments of gratitude and sincere appreciation to you and your family. I cannot thank you enough for the kindness afforded to the parish. God reward you most abundantly for He is, indeed, pleased with cheerful givers.

So, let the bells of the Misa de Gallo break the pre-dawn silence of the whole land. The bells offer a message of hope in God and of hope for peace on earth.
